Cho Aniki Sequel!!!

Discussion in 'Rare and Obscure Gaming' started by Greatsaintlouis, Jul 16, 2004.

  1. I was browsing around for interesting imports to put on my "buy when I'm not skint" list, and stumbled across this - apparently there's a sequel to everybody's favorite (or not so favorite), weird-as-hell PC Engine game!! :smt043 :smt043

This time they are going for a homosexual theme. You're going to get that game??

What do you mean "this time". All the choaniki games have had some homo-erotic themes in them. I assume the SFC version was the most toned down, but never tried it.

Anyways, this game is supposedly pretty bad. Proceed w/ caution.

  4. Wasn't the SFC one some sort of fighting game? I heard it was utter crap as well....

I'd sortof like to give the PCE version a try, just for the sheer oddity of the game, but isn't it a PCE CD-ROM? One thing I don't have.. :smt009

You can play PCE-CD rom games on your pc if you use a emulator like magicengine. It works for real cd games not Iso's which is pretty cool

Magicengine is pretty good as the emulation is nearly perfect for all pce games.

I use magicengine to play my pce cd's on my laptop & have no problems at all.

The Super Famicom Aniki game was utter tripe. Probably one of the worst 1 on 1 fighters out there. Yet, it was still interesting enough to play all the way through :smt033 I've been after the Saturn Shooter version for quite some time. Seems to be impossible to find one at a decent price.

The Saturn rev is pretty expensive... the most expensive that I know of. The PC-Engine version isn't that cheap either. Ai Chouaniki is probaby the cheapest in the series ($15 or so for it).
