The competition helds in four successive parts I think, each with a more or less compulsory programm.
Etude, scherzo, nocturne and can't remember what else were part of the first part, the second one, polonaise, balade, barcarolle and mazurka.
I'll try to link the program (available in pdf on the website, but can't find it lol)

If I go and sing "i like Chopin" would that be taken into consideration for the competition? :p

LoL. Seriously, if there are any links to videos of the competition it would be great if you posted them. I am a huge classical music fan (although my favourite composers are Tchaikovsky and Dvorak... but Chopin is great)

    Tchaikovsky is great, very harmonic.

Dance of the sugar plum fairy, or Swan Lake, excellent choice.

    How about twelve-tone technique? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fy6t8yXPcSQ

It sounds a little bit unorganized, doesn't it?

Fun Fact: I played classical Piano from age 7 to 19. True story. Was pretty good. Too bad I don't have the time, nor live in a city that supports pianos in the home.
