http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/04/03/google-chromebook-pixel-review_n_3007288.html Is this a late entry April Fools joke or something? All the price of a high-end PC with a fraction of the functionality? Who will buy this?
Might be worth it if you isntall linux: http://liliputing.com/2013/02/the-chromebook-pixel-can-run-ubuntu-linux-mint-other-distros.html Seems like mint/ubuntu work well. The price is still a bit high, but the cheaper one for such a screen resolution, if that's what you're into.... This with a real ssd, like 240gb, would actually be perfect for me using ubuntu!
I think it's just an experiment to see if some other manufacturer such as LG, Samsung, lenovo et cetera are adopting the idea. If they produce a similar concept based on Chrome and maybe sell it as a $200 netbook, Google's power and influence on the browser market has the potential to increase significantly. And they would take away market share from their competitor Microsoft (Internet Explorer in particular, but also their Windows-sales).
