I've been digging through old issues of Gamest recently, which as you may or may not know, was an arcade magazine. Anyways, I found a rather long (although I'm not sure how in depth) interview w/ the Chrono Trigger staff. I generally love translating this stuff, but my plate is full. So, I'm just going to make readily available some scans of said interview. If someone translates it, I'd love to mirror it and make it available with my other translations. Click Me
39! Don't want to promise anything as I'm notoriously lazy when it comes to things where there's no pressure in doing them, but we'll see...
I was expecting you to say 'The leading womens magazine in Japan', 'Generic Art Magazine' or 'Dog breeders monthly', Gamest is a little odd but not not all that odd...
Reminds me of seeing a magazine over here called "womens monthly", i laughed so hard at the time i think i actually peed a little, needless to say my ex wasnt impressed with my reaction haha.
Have you read Gamest? Their console coverage is sparce at best. Maybe quick page or two blurb of an upcoming port or arcade-inspired game (save ads, of course). Classic!
Didn't check the dates, but there's another issue w/ a 4-page Square ad. Shows some sketches of what was no doubt FF doodlings. Seems Gamest & Square were in bed together or something.
Hi Gaijin, can you please tell us which issue did you find this Chrono interview it and its publication date?
