    OSAMU SATO
    EASTERN MIND

    You've all heard their names.
But what About The lost Game.
One so rare Osamu Sato doesn't even have a copy of it.
Well, here's how it went down, but don't tell anyone I told you

Chu-Teng was the "lost" Osamu Sato Game to us all on the interwebs for a while. Actually, barely anyone knew about it beyond a few 4chan and possible HCG101 users. So as we perused hoping we'd find it. Allot of Activity was stirred up on /vr/ Videogames retro. I mean ALLOT the threads were massive people looking all over the internet for this game. Eventually people started to take notice. We had a Japanese collector who had the game. Sadly he wouldn't upload it.
Then one day out of nowhere another anon had the game. He would upload it from his pc eventually.
    We all waited.
    It came.

What follows was a mind screw of Macintosh emulation and Moonrunes(japanese).
Eventually, after all this time, we figured how the game worked and figured out how to change the text through use of Mac magic and programming. Aka Quicktime. So this lead one thing to another and the game eventually got translated.

    FUN FACTS
1.Chu-Teng is not a creepy pasta
It is in fact a real game.

2.It is the sequel to Eastern Mind: The lost Souls of tong-nu.
It is in fact a direct sequel.

3.Only one copy of the game has ever been ripped!
From a certain Japanese benefactor who will rename anonymous.

    4. After the resurgence of Chu-Teng.
Shit hit the fan and allot of Osamu Sato's Stuff Started appearing again.
Hell, I've seen a dude with two copies of Chu-Teng. ( Shit's legit will post a pic when I can)
The game was so rare though that even Mr.Sato does not own a copy due to it's limited print run.

    Gameplay & Story
Basically Chu-teng Is a first person, Point and click adventure game.
It takes place in a sort of spirit world after life. Where you the protagonist must solve puzzles and such some seemingly random at times.

Beyond its utter weirdness and surreal nature, it's a solid and unique adventure game. So is Eastern mind.
I can't give you much info as I am not an expert on the plot intricacies, but it draws from Shinto and Buddhism for its over all other worldly styled world. It's very odd and seems mythological in allot of ways.

If anyone wants to write up a better summary, I will post it here. Thanks!

Hey bear in mind that its a work in progress, and a lot of sloppy english and badly aligned text and missing key parts and the end roll.
Ill be uploading a far more complete version of it until I release the final build.

Where would be the best place to put threads up for translation efforts regarding these games? Ill just continue from here?

Sweet! I've been kinda looking for this game. Any way you could get a scan of the instruction manual up? I could help translate it.
I saw the first game in a store for cheap a few weeks ago (Tounou) maybe I'll have to go back and get it.e

edit: oh whoops, didnt realize you didnt actually rip the game. still i'm glad to see it ripped.

The link to the gameplay video seems incomplete. I think it should be this one.
