Well thurs clerks x dvd came in and let me say something, you would be shocked at how well this was put together, and the extras are fabulous. First the film is a bit cleaner and also seems contrast is a bit better( scene where dante throws the customers keys into the trash can has the burn out look reduced and is only noticible at very end of shot but not as bad as old release). The audio is a bit clearer and much louder, some of the music is made louder or quiter for dialouge reasons, some sound effects were tooken out that werent needed while other sounds are more apparent. As for extras this thing is packed. The mtv shorts are great, as well as the animated scene that was not filmed, and let me tell you its some of the funiest sh*t i've ever seen. Even though its animated like the cartoon, the dialouge is still reatined so it still is very raunching yet funny(not gonna spoil why casket got knocked over, all i can say is that it was very dirty and im not sure how they would have filmed it). THeres the orignal cut which is a crappy vhs version(since thats all they had) however only quickly skimed through it and will give it a full look tommarow). Third disc is spectacular for the documentary itself, it really goes into the history of smiths past and how he grew up , how he met everyone, and the struggle and downfalls he had trying to get clerks done,no one seeing it at its premier in one theatre, and having the movie not be picked up for distrbution multiple times. A must see i must say, its a real good documentary and feels like it could have been its own movie. Then theres some outakes of the documentary. Next up is kevins first and only short film produced for a class project called mae day in which him and mossier did but screwed up due to poor planning, so they just wrote a script of them talking about their mistakes trying to make it, and had the crew they worked with tell how they felt they did a real bad job on it(this is their real opion too)funny stuff. Next up is photogallary, various aritcals and reviews, and kevins journel gives a good idea on how clerks was planned.Also theres a 10th aniversary q&a thats a nice addition I must say if your having a difficult timing deciding over jersey girl or this, defintely get this instead, it is extremely worth it, and puts the old dvd to extreme shame. As a fan i was more then satisfiedl and amazed how much hey put on it, it is an definent must for fans.
