Clueless Gamer with Conan O'Brien

For those of you who do not know who Conan O’Brien is; he is a late night talk show host/comedian on TBS, in the U.S.

While looking at videos on YouTube this title caught my eye - “Clueless Gamer with Conan O’Brienâ€â€¦ He has a few videos in this series taken from his talk-show; one that I was not aware of as I had not seen his show in a couple of years.

He admits to not being a gamer, but watching him play and listening to his commentary is rather hilarious, and that’s what’s appealing about these videos (IMHO).

Kacho Arino; had never heard of him... tried watching some of his videos; he has a different nitch, but I did not find him all that funny.

Laughter is a universal expression, but a sense of humor isn't ....

 

Yeah, it takes a different kinda of person to enjoy something cultural in any way. What i mean is not everyone can't find Arino funny really as his sense of humor is completely different from those "let's players" of the west. And personally i don't see Conan funny as he feels kinda forced in a way and does it on purpose to get a kick at making people laugh at his fails.

when you have nothing interesting to say but dumb nonsense and have no idea what you are doing, act like everything is so important and amazing.

 

I like this show. Despite Conan making it clear he doesn't usually play games, when he's enjoying himself he shows it and he often have positive things to say. He could have done the usual "computer games, right? Stuff for nerds!" But he didn't.

 

I don't think he's funny whatsoever. I see him as a try hard...

 

somehow my mind slipped and I thhought the thread was centered arround this video where he exchanges a few words with Shigeru Miyamoto, which is the one I found particularly obnoxious. The others are just "normal level" obnoxious, sometimes a funny thing or two, but that's all.
