Me? I'm not a moderator.... all moderator's have it in their title, AFAIK. As for my last post, it was a joke, mainly in response to some people saying our country-bashing was leaning too far to one side.

I realize we have a lot of non-native English speakers that might miss the boat sometimes, but I don't think that means we should tip-toe.

Even if it was just humour it was bad humour hence the topic is closed.

To that I can only say that you are way too easily offended.

For shame. The Shmups board can have the "tasteless jokes" thread, and nobody says a word, and there's some REALLy tasteless stuff in there. Here, everyone gets their sand in their clits.

Oh, well. I'll keep it serious from now on.

I don't blame you and maybe i over reacted but i just hate topics about countries, relegion or polictics they always end in crap.

And yes i've seen the topic you refer to but i try to keep my nose out of things since i'm not really taken seriously as a moderator.

The only thing I moderate in off topic is boring threads.

What a load of shit. It was blatantly just a joke. Why the hell was it locked?

Maybe the US members have got a point. How is it ok for people to talk shit about the US but not about Canada? What exactly are the rules here?

I thought it was pretty funny actually (though I was under a strong impression that somebody had been smoking too much herbal remedies :smt043 )

I found it in poor taste. Most of your "joke" was just labelling the entire Canadian nation based on things you don't like. So what if you don't like the French language? Or if your taste in music doesn't cover rocky stuff like Nickelback or Alanis? Personally, I don't care much for Celine Dion, but I don't bash the whole Canadian music industry for it. I still respect her as an artist - she has a good voice and has done well for herself, I just don't personally care for her music.

Another part of your prejudice comes from your knowledge of ONE canadian - oh wow, so one Canadian needed to get one up on you. Big deal, there are LOTS of Americans who do the same, I'm sure.

Yeah I appreciate it is supposed to be a joke, but generally I find that jokes like that are funny because you agree with them, and I don't agree with your opinions on that I'm afraid.
