Yeah, but in many places (dunno if it happens in Spain though) the customs office just fucks you up.

For example here in Uruguay for anything you import you have to pay a 60% tax over the price of the item itself + shipping. It really sucks.

And as Andoba says, the prices (locally) are just crazy.

Español: La verdad, nunca he tenido problema al comprar online. Ya que generalmente, he comprado cosas a otros paises de la unión europea y entre paises de la unión, la aduana es casi inexistente, al no haber fronteras dentro de la unión europea.

Bueno Tchoin, te contestaré en español a este tema, ya que si traduzco este comentario al ingles, seguramente no se entenderá igual que si lo escribo en español. Y tú, al ser uruguayo, entonces hablas español.

Verás, yo no sé como está el tema de las aduanas en Uruguay. Lo desconozco por completo.
Pero lo que si sé, es que en España cuando se compra algo de importacíón "online". Pasa por la aduana siempre y cuando, sea procedente de paises no pertenecientes a la Unión Europea, (de la cual España es país perteneciente a dicha Unión), ya que en Europa, no existen fronteras al poseer casi todos los paises la misma moneda (Euro), y existir el libre mercado. Por lo que comprar cualquier cosa de cualquier país, por ejemplo Alemania, Francia, Italia, Reino Unido, etc.... no pasa realmente por ninguna aduana. De echo, mi Turbografx, la compré a una tienda online francesa y tardó solo 1 día en llegar y sin ningún tipo de arancel.
El echo está en que cuando se trata de paises ajenos a la Unión, el producto se queda durante un tiempo en la aduana para pasar los controles rutinarios. Y a no ser que pase de una cierta cantidad de dinero (creo que unos 3.000 €), no tienes que pagar los aranceles o impuestos que genera el envio por ser de esa cantidad.
Espero que te haya quedado claro. Aquí, uno puede ir desde Portugal hasta Noruega en coche y no se pasa por ninguna frontera ya que no existen controles fronterizos entre paises de la unión.

wow. i've never seen one of those gold edition mega drives before. nice collection, and dont mind that lil language barrier, i'm sure i'm not the only one who would love to see more hard to find (to us residents) EU stuffs. thanks.
