Cash converters are selling 360s for £89 currently, so price seems normal for those types of shops.

You shouldn't be looking for price compare to what you would pay in the UK. Only that importing cost is cheaper than local costs.

Also, importing ntsc isn't a problem as long as the Tvs support rgb and 60hz. You should see what your Tvs are capable of, as it will dictate where you can import from.

    Edit:
If local costs are so high - why not import like 5 gamecubes and pay the combined shipping, then sell 4 of them. Probably recoup your costs.

Unfortunately I don't fly in and out that much, I have only visited the UK once in 2 years and that was only due to a death in the family. As for games, the more modern ones are easy enough to buy here and the older ones are cheap enough to import, it's the postage that kills me, even though with most you could just whack a stamp on them and send them like a letter. It seems I will have to start visiting more often or paying for family and friends to bring an extra suitcase when they visit me.

I've found much cheaper in the UK but I've no problem paying the prices here as they are, like you say, it's cheaper than importing so that's fine, not awesome but fine. And tbh I like to support local business. The problem really is with consoles/games I can't buy here. Anything really that's PS2 and below is hard or impossible to find (it took me 2 years to find 1 faulty PS1 and 8 games for it). This also means bulk buying with a view to sell on is close to impossible. I'm sure a lot of folk would want to play on the older systems but they are not willing to pay to own a console (or can't afford to) that is not only "out dated" but also one they can't locally buy games for.
I believe France is like the UK these days as far as TV and PAL goes so all TVs run at 50hz.

Yes, you can find xbox 360's cheaper, but I was in cash generator today and that was xbox 360 price there.

UK TV's have supported RGB and 60hz for a long long time.

Also, you are MORE likely to find RGB capable TV's in france, due to their history. I would suggest its VERY much in your interest to test this out.

Do you have an xbox 360? I am pretty sure you can force a PAL 360 into 60hz mode over composite. This will tell you if 60hz mode works easily.

I do have a 360 here but I have it running on an LED computer monitor right now, I have a Samsung TV that I bought for the soul reason of using with the Xbox but it's one of the few that I now know has a known fault meaning it is not compatible with the Xbox 360. It looks great with the Wii though so I hung onto it. Once I've bought a new TV though (and checked to see if it's compatible) I will test out your suggestion, Thank you!!
