I wanted to know what your take is on collecting a certain franchise but lets say you are a westerner, do you care what region its from or do you just get whichever for the sake of just having that title in your collection? For example, i am a Metal Gear Solid game collector. Im European. Personally I preffer my games to be in english (the box i mean). I avoid like plague even tho sometimes cheaper if its a german, french, italian txt etc. I do collect japanese region games but for now its only the games that came out there or because of a unique cover that wasnt released in the west. Right now im hunting down all 6 mgs PSP titles. Either nobody has them in a bundle or the price is a joke. I could on the other hand grab em cheap in japan because it is fairly comon game but when I know theres an english edition, even though i will never play them again on the psp because its just for collection, i feel like its more valuable as a western release than having all JAP games. Anybody have a similar OCD lol?
I am a Survival Horror/Resident Evil collector and I buy every edition I can from any language. I mainly collect from the PSX/Dreamcast/PS2 eras though. Why settle for one region when you can get them all? And yes, sometimes some editions are crazy expensive.
Well if its region exclusive I will get it but for the same example, the 6 PSP releases are identical for both JAP and EUR. Basically the only difference back of the box description is in japanese and I just feel like I woudl rather have english because i dont really see the point of collecting doubles. But if its any country exclusive, yea ill grab those as long as the english version is not identical.
