Hey guys so for a while now ive had a xbox test kit and a xbox devkit but I haven't done much with it so I decided to message people and find out things. Currently I think i have most of the recoveries including some private ones and I've been able to get my devkit online but I dont really know that much about them.

If you know anything fun to do on a xdk then please post below because other than getting it online on productionnet, I don't know what else to do on it. Thanks :)

Use the modified compatibility files and drop them in the compatibility folder or xhdd if you're looking with xex menu and the kit will play retail xbe and retail xbox original discs.

They'll play retail jtag builds if you run the rips through x360hack.exe on your pc.

You can get retail xbla to run on the kit with some help from xwpirs.exe and xbox authoring tool found in the sdk.

Emulators, homebrew and hacked dashboards intended for jtag and rgh will run as apps on an xdk.

Or sell it. Plenty of people looking for kits and internal recoveries.

Some stuff is already leaked in Protopia, that is a good resource for beta and prototype goodies. I have some builds of not leaked games. PM me for details so we keep the thread clean.

You can pretty much do anything with it with the right know how but Seems XboxSurgeon has you covered.
If you are wondering about anything specific then feel free to ask.

This is my own opinion and it's off topic but I can't really avoid it.
Bringing a dev kit online is kinda sad. There are many things you can do on a dev kit, without being a scum online with a a dev kit, such as:
Developing an actual game (all the resources are there in the sdk), making trainers, playing beta builds; all of this can be done offline. If you really wanted to be a skid and mod online buy a exploited console, not bring a piece of development hardware online.

I think maybe this question could have been asked before getting a kit... But I wont get into that. I will however say that taking a kit online isn't really looked at with any respect at least this is how I feel.

Surgeon pretty much covered all the basics to get you going :).

Yeah I appreciate that but when I went online on my devkit I didn't go into online matches or anything skiddy, I just wanted to see how it would work and so on, I was only curious, theres no need to bring the hate

No hate, just an opinion ;).

Also something you could do is make custom xshell themes for your kit.

Nobody goes online to "see" how it is, chief.
