well today i went to comic con, it wasnt exactly that exciting this year, though i did enjoy the kevin smith panel, which was totaly awsome, anyway i had a chance to stop by the nintendo booth to see what they had, needless to say it was pretty small and crampt, randomly they would change what would download to your ds, though the reps dis say exaclty where the transmetter were, just that it was within the booth, i was ready to get bomberman downloaded, sadly there were enough people to play one game so i got cut out, later i came back to the booth and i was able to download the zelda trailer on my ds which played quite niceldy dispite the ok mpeg 1 quality, though sadly unlike e3 they werent handing out copies of it that were on ds cards. Though since i had my ds i was able to get a free collectors zelda coin thats made out of some type of metal as it has a bit of weight to it for a coin, and has some japanese writing on each part of the triforce on the back. All the demos were pretty much stuff at e3. For ds they had ds wars, mario kart, nintendo dogs, castlevania ds, and metroid prime ds. Needless to say for some reason i was a bit tired so i didnt really have the energy to wait in lines too long. Played a little bit of nintendo dogs and i must say its quite intresting once you start playing it, tried one demo course of mario kart ds and i must say its looking rather good and plays quite well, the track seemed real good too. For gameboy advance there wasnt anything exciting. There was the star wars episode 3 game that already came out, batman begins which didnt look too bad, and a night mare before christmass which looked alright.Meanwhile i was going to play the castlevania ds demo, though what was odd was how the game is fully played with the dpad and face buttons which i wentness when somone is playing, so im not sure how there going to make the sylus work into play while your playing but i must say it looks rather good, but people were taking too much of their sweet time playing it and ther was only one kiosk for it compared to mario kart and nintendogs 4 kiosks each. For cube they had the new hulk game, battallion wars, another game i cant remember again and of course the main attraction the new zelda. I must say the videos on the internet definetly do not do this game justice. The game looks so damn amazing in person its not even funny, i mean the detail of textures was amazing, plus the game was playable on flat lcd or should i say plama screens . I did want to play this badly, but the wait to play it was just a bit long and since there were people anxiously waiting to play the game, there really wasnt enough time to soak it in. As for sony and capcoms booths, quite dissapoiting. Though i dont have picture of them for you, you didnt miss much. Sony had nothing but games that have already been released, meanwhile capcoms booth was against the wall and not much was there except a special editon book on the history of street fighter which was going for $80 but wasnt anything excitng, and one demo kiosk for viewtiful joe ds and saiben in english. I must say these games look quite good especialy vietiful joe which looks quite close to its cube counter part. The only thing they had going was one of the artist from the street fighter serise who did work on all the street fighter 3's,but sadly i didnt have my copy of third strike with me plus a ton of people surounded him so it was quite difficult to see him. Anway heres the pics of nintendos booth.

sorry for not taking alot of pics of all the games at the booth as well as more impersions, i was just tired and out of it, but i must say these games coming out for ds will be quite a treat for those waiting for some good games, as for game cube, there isnt anyting new to speak of really or too exciting.

Cool coin. Just a guess but considering there is a symbol on each part of the triforce the symbols probably mean power, wisdom, and courage respectively.

  3. A. Snow's correct - I can't clearly make out the kanji on the other two parts, but the character on the very bottom part of the Triforce is power.

Sounds like you had a decent amount of fun there - I would kill to see Kevin Smith speak, and it's awesome that you got his book! And that Domo-kun shirt is cool beyond words.

yeah it was so cool, and let me tell you something, this is the second time seeing him in person and he was fully on fire this time, he so damn hilarious in person. Plus if you run into when hes on the show floor hes fully willing to sign sutf, talk to you quick, or shake your hand and take a pic, though i havent been luckly to meet him face to face, hes a pretty cool guy. I also had some pics of his panel, but nothing inredible to see, though i wish i had a regular camera cause his public appearances are some of the best.

Those are some nice items you have acquired there. Keep that coin forever, it might someday be worth money ;-).

    ''-how much for this laborginy?
    -well, that's actually 1,000,000,000....or 2 zelda coins. ''

i envy you! did you played tp?
    (Edit:nevermind. )

    thx for the pictures.

and on nearly every tp screenshots or videos, you can see textures of a not really good quality. it really looked so good in person?
did you saw someone else playing it? what about the gameplay, animations, musics, ect?

sorry, i'm just hyped by the game, and i want some infos. :)

if you didn't erased the zelda video out of your ds memory already, it would be cool if you could send it on your pc to upload it on internet.

well as i said earlyer, the crowd to play it was big and i was quite tire so i didnt bother to play it, though if i was a bit more energetic i would have definetly played. I will tell you that yes, in person, this game looks a hell of alot better then the screen shots released, though the edges were a little jaggie since it was on such a high res screen, its a sight to be hold. I was seeing people play it in amazment and joy. The battle on teh field looked alright though the frame trate would drop slightly and would pause when link would hit someone, though in the dungeon the game ran a fluid 30 fps. But the boss battle with the tentical monster that had 3 heads, cant explain what it was, but man it was awasome, the deteail was great. I guess due to the quality of teh graphics the camera isnt able to fully pick up the full quality of it. I have a cannon a520 power shot thats 4megapixal, and it can take some damn clean good pics, but the thing is as long as ive had it i havent been able to fully figure out yet how to do the best setting for the best picture quality, but if the booth wasnt so crowded belive me i would have gotten some good pics. Even ds games that were running on 2 sharp lcd screens looked quite clean and moved very fluid, in fact nintendogs does indeed run at 60fps, though it doesnt show up on the internet since video captured runs at a much lower framerate then the orignal source. What im saying is games like resident evil, zelda, and even such things as 360 and ps3 have to be seen in person since there quality is not fully captured with video. Though dvd trailers seem to be the most acurate at getting a direct look of how a game looks.

Hey Sayin, I was there yesterday. You should have said you were going, we could have met up.

Awsome con this year. Sadly I was only able to go Sat. afternoon (mainly to show some work to the portfolio reviewers. Got mixed reactions, but generally the outcome was the "Work on it, and submit when you're ready" type. Anyway...)

I got some pics of the Starwars booth, will post later.

i did as well, but all i took a pic of was the chewie, cp3o, vader made out of legos as well as the vadar suit itself. Also took some picks of detaield friday the 13th figure or statuates i guess youd call it, as well as the suite from the new aeon flux movie as well as the the psyco suit from batman begins. Though i should have really tooken some more pictures. Oh well im satisfied i got to see the smith panel.

november, to counter microsoft's evil plans to conquer the world. :smt033

really? as anyone seen the twilight princess tailler dvd in the last (?) nintendo power? if it looks that close to the real thing on this dvd, then i'm gonna pick it.
a little something to add to my zelda collection at the same time. :)

as for the little pause when link hit someone, it was the same in wind waker, so i doubt it isn't intentional and not for the esthetic look either.

well i know its been a staple since oot, but in this one the pausing a bit more apparent, so im not sure if its intentinal or its maybe a framerate issue, cause in the field it looked like there was a litttle bit of slowdown in moviement, but im guessing it will be fixed on the final release.
