Ever since I got my av famicom I have started to build a decent sized collection. However I have noticed that on some of the games i have gotten that the carts shell is loose and in some cases has the tabs broken only being held together by the top two. Interestingly enough my super mario bros that is like this has eprom chips with the windows exposed. Anyway is this condition a common occurrence?
It usually only happens if someone trys to open a cart without using an opening tool, either that or the plastic has become brittle & they have been thrown around. They are pretty hard to get open without breaking at least one of the tabs as you go.
