COMPLETE 12.30.2010 turning core grafx case into a USB hdd

I've just finished this simple project and it only took about 24 hours to do,so here's a copy of my project from gamesX
    Some poor pictures
Joypad port and green on/off switch cover still intact

    Expansion port cover(pc engine one).

    Av din socket in place
    [IMG]
HU card connector also in place.

Ac adapter jack moved from original place on the usb sata pcb ,to where it would normally be found on the core grafx.

Mini usb access point now showing.
With the case closed, the pcb does not have any room to move around inside,so there was no need to fix anything down.

Finished project ,with usb cable and a 5 Vcc switched power supply attached.A joypad and scart cable can also be plugged in just for show.

I should really put something between the HU card connector and the hdd,but the transparent plastic HU card connector cover might be enough:shrug:

Rather clean looking mod, a nice departure from most mods which tend to leave some cables hanging around or an open port showing it clearly isn't a console (like those PC in a console shell "mods").

    Kudos.

Buy a pico itx board and put an entire pc in there.
