So, I thought.. I remember in old PS1 magazines, it was often shown rooms and I just felt the classic-ness come over me seeing those, has anyone spotted this year or last year, a bedroom someone has, that is like a blast to the past? I mean with a tube-TV and a PS1 hooked up, then some old games, and old furniture, you know what i mean but being in 2012-2014 :)

I looked at my tube-tv and saw my PS1 (that i cant try because of no batteries in tv remote!) number #31 and just thought, hmm... it reminds me of the early 00s. So i thought if there could be people out there who don't have a ps3 and even a flat TV?

and I was mainly thinking the Playstation times (& culture.) of 1996-2002, because of all those PS1 magazines I have & read. XD

I'm still pretty 90's I guess. Still use a CRT, don't personally own an HDTV, have retro consoles, games and controllers all over my shelves, and currently have a PSOne hooked up too lol. I do however own modern stuff as well so I'm not completely trapped in the past.

What I like about 90s rooms is that they had more colors. Not close to how much the decades prior did though. Too many still feels kinda tacky, but still cool in a way. Might just be me complaining about how electronics became color phobic though.

My bedroom is about half and half. On one wall is the 12ish year old CRT with all the classic systems on it, and the other wall has one of those PS3 3D displays (which I never use the 3D on.

Find a bubbly 90s TV and an N64, put Oasis/Blur/Radiohead/local alt rock radio station stickers all over everything, done

Or get like.. Hansen and Lisa Frank stuff but only if you're brave enough to troll to such an extent

    My friend has one.

Tube TV, VCR, Laserdisc. Lots of rare vhs and older consoles.
I gave him my sony PVM, and he has a c64 monitor too.

It's comforting really, on a psychological level.

That kid is awesome. Mullet, acid washed jeans, and a pink neon tshirt. Wish I would have kept some 90s gear. That outfit will probably be back in style soon. :)

This was actually an exhibit at the Chinatown Museum when I went in the late 90s.

Sorry, I don't post often, but I thought this video was relevant to the thread.

It's the 'History of PlayStation' PS4 ad.

I have a 36" CRT with a PS1 hooked to it, I also have a 32" flat panel that I use for my computer and newer gen consoles.

This seems more 80's to me, maybe very early 90's.

Now that I think about it, mine at my parent's place hasn't changed all that much from the 90s.

I still have a stereo system, VCR (multiple) and t.v. (one old CRT and a newer LCD) in mine. Just no posters or stickers all over the room, I recall covering an entire section of my room with pages from beat up gaming magazines of stuff I liked.

I also remember those cheap, shitty, ugly and fucking sharp black shelving units/cabinets EVERYWHERE or ugly old wooden laminate furniture being used for shelving for books and games. Milk crates filled with records, cassettes and cds too. Often ended up tipped out and used as a spare chair, though patio chairs were often brought inside for that very reason too. The lounge on the other side of the room always had to be a fold-out bed with some bright, ugly print OR it had seriously tacky granny-type floral on either black or a murky green. Unless you had some spare leather ones from the 80s.

Random asian prints or dragons and crap across linens targeted at guys. Flowers or eye-blinding pink ones targeted at girls. Worn out t.v. show bedding too. Boxes of lego or other stuff.

I don't recall that much in terms of fluro colours but my parents were kinda goth/alternative/grungy so.... I suppose that explains a lot.
