Hello I've been searching for a comprehensive list of PAL region free Original Xbox games, but unable to find such a list. At best I've found a few VERY old posts from various forums detailing a handful of games, but no complete up to date lists. Anyone know of any such list please? If such a list does not exist, I'm wondering if there is an app I can run on mod Xbox that will read game disc and confirm compatible regions? Thank you
You can tell by the .xbe... Anyway, if a game is region free it would be region free by title not necessarily the region it was released at. For example Rallisport Challenge 2 from NTSC-J, NTSC and PAL are all region free. Not just the NTSC-J release being region free.
Hi Hex1gon Thanks for your reply and explanation. I wasn't too sure if certain regionally releases could be region free, while others may not be. Just to be sure I understand what your saying correctly . If a game is release as PAL, and it's region free, then ALL other regional releases such as NTSC-J, NTSC-U/C and NTSC-C (China) will also be region free? Has this always been the case that applies across consoles? So for example, this never happened for any Original Xbox games. Football game (PAL) = Region Free Football game (NTSC-J) = locked Football game (NTSC-U/C) = Region Free With regards to telling by the .xbe, how is this possible please without ripping the game to PC? Do you know of an app I can load on to mod xbox to show such details by just reading from game disc? Anyone know of complete list of region free games please? Thank you
