Old news I know, but I went over on Saturday and they were selling their PSPs, PS3 and XB360's with 10% off the RRP. The PS3s were gone but they still had some XB360s in stock at the one I went to. Worth a look if you're holding out for a price cut.
They sent all systems back to main warehouse except the 360's. They are at 10% off, and now 15% off by me. The best thing is the 360 kiosks. I plan on trying to get the one they have.
Yeah, I checked my local CompUSA this past Saturday and they didn't have any systems left, not even 360s.
All kiosks in the one near me have signs exclaiming "DO NOT SELL, PROPERTY OF MICROSOFT" on them. Even the Vista display strips
Went today and got a sony dvd player/recorder for $71 and some of that liquid that patches up the scratches on discs. All the kiosks at comp usa had a paper printed stating "property of vendor".
Show up with a hand truck and a microsoft shirt, make em sign some official looking papers and.... nah.
It's true, they really do belong to Microsoft (most display units belong to the company concerned). Usually the store will be told not to sell it and they'll keep it in the back after the machine is old news for a few years before trashing or eBaying it, but I think the main issue with the XB360 kiosk is the screen, those aren't cheap and they're not custom models so can be reused.
Its true. We have a Nintndo DS demo pod at my work in the back that we aren't allowed to sell, as it belongs to Nintendo. Though I am trying to get my hands on it over the next year....
