I think it's time someone addresses this issue (again). Recently there's been a lot of "high tension" going on these boards, and some members have either been "outcast" and/or left here for good. I was wondering what has been going on with "some" of us here? This isn't like us. Can't we peacefully resolve issues and be able to debate issues maturely without getting a thread locked or creating offensive posts? Sometimes the thought of "Proud to be an ASSEMbler Games member" is fading away from me, and possibly others as well. Please let's try to stay mature on the issue. -------------------------- On the other note, has anyone seen AntiPasta? I was also wondering if anyone has seen ShadowLayer, or seen him via instant messaging. It doesn't seems like him/her not to post or visit in nearly five days now. Was he banned? To tell you the truth, I found some of his/her posts quite amusing ! If he did infact post a negative/harassing post, then please don't take it personally. I may have missed those posts (If they were deleted). -------------------------- Just wondering what has been going on these past months. I sure hope the boards can regain its stability and make this place a friendlier place again...
People move on. Not because of what some of you may think the forum is turning into. Some people leave simply because they have more important things in life to worry about such as family, school, etc. I can see my activity in these forums dwindle as I continue my education and life in general. Those who have the time and are very passionate on the Mission this website is trying to achieve will still hang around in the forums and contribrute any which way they can.
There has? I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary these last few weeks. Did I miss something?
I haven't seen anything out of the ordinary, either. I don't post as often simply because I don't have much to say about any of the current topics - maybe it's the same way with other members.
I think what Mark30001 is trying to say is, the board has really lost it's edge in the past few months. Some matters people can not pass an opinion on things since it will start a war between members. Respect between members and droped and it's shows, and im not going to say i havent been guilty in doing so, because I have, and many others. This is still a fun board to go onto, and it has unlocked many things which we would have never knowin about before. I just hope this isnt turning into DP board.....
Don´t worry about Anti he is entangled with something lovely for the first time in his life, so when he has the time he will be around
PA: you can´t be entangled in Radiant Silvergun, if you aren´t entangled in its cables. But let him have some rest and relaxation with that lovely thing, for the first time in his life.
I'm relatively new, so I can't comment on the past, but I don't think this forum is aggressive. I'm with SuperGrafx, did I miss something?
I've been here for several years and through several boards...and I can tell you that this topic comes up at a rate of about 1.5 times a year. Some people leave...sometimes they come back. Some just get to a point in their lives when they don't have much time for video games. All we can do is hope that they find their way back. Honestly though, the core people from when I first visited Assembler are still here. There weren't of them...and but they're mostly still here...(and mostly mods now!) On top of that, some new great newer users have come along. Sure...there's the occasional moron who likes to ruin the jolly vibe we have going...but the extra dumb ones are usually weeded out pretty fast. They're either slapped into line and learn to be nice, or they go bye bye. I was never a mega poster anyway...but I still normally post once or twice a day...and I still think Assembler is pretty much the best gaming forum out there.
Was this thread aimed at me? Yeah, this board isnt very aggressive as compared to others. Its not as bad as it was Mark, when we had political wars every other week in the old PHPBB days.
I've been here under various names for a few years now (damn, i've had a thousand posts since october?), things seem about the same as they've always been. There was about 6 months where i didn't even look at assember because i was too busy. I eneded up comming back because i think it really is the most informative site on the web. EDIT: Look here and tell me that the assembler boards are dying: http://assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8076
Mark makes a point..the forums arent going downhill by any means..but its not going anywhere either....before people used to think before posting, and now, were getting completly useless posts and comments...and although im no better ....it just feels stale... ..and i think alot of people are moving on aswell, not to say that they want to leave assembler..just that their lives are forcing them to Ryan
