Actually, I like all of the Shadowruns because all of them are different. Most people don't realize that there was a Jap-only Shadowrun for the Mega CD that was a full-fledged JRPG. I think more game series' need to do that. I'm tired of playing the same shit over and over again. We need originality. Right now it's the age of the sequel, where developers try to milk any franchise with marginal popularity as much as possible, regardless of the ideas they put into it. I just can't stand that. Commercialism as it's finest. Personally, I'd rather play something new than more of the same, which is why I like Shadowrun a lot.
Dude, we used to fire up the demo to play once in awhile and holy shit. There are people who play that demo 24/7. There total assholes too. The question I always ask is why the fuck don't you bastards own this game? It's not that fucking expensive!
me and henners were talking about Shadowrun being the new fruitcake this year. it's a good cheap gift for the gamers in the family. i'm for sure getting one for my brother, my roommate, and a buddy from work. and i'll probably stock up on more. it's a perfect gift, pretty cheap but something you can all play together.
The Shadowruns on Genesis/SNES were much better than what the "franchise" is today, however it can be revived I think. The table top RPG was fun as shit to play as a kid too
We should play it sometime, I've had it for weeks but only played it once. I'm stupid on those kind of games but I can learn.
the people who play alot tend to be really willing to help teach you how to play even in public servers. And no Jon. this is not the new fruitcake. Fruitcake fails. Shadowrun owns. the new fruitcake is broken iMacs.
oh yeah, that's right... my bad. i just ordered two copies from Amazon. i hope they get here before Christmas! two day shipping... oh, and i also ordered your christmas present Henners but it might be a little late. :love2:
I'm playing through The Last Remnant now if anyone wants me to go down the basic +/- points from a clinical point of view or has any questions about it.
I've been very interested in Last Remnant, Infinite Undiscovery, and Tales of Vesperia but mediocre reviews have sorta kept me away...
Since a few people were interested, I put up a brief review in the articles section: http://assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21127
i forgot to say it in the other thread but that was an awesome review mairsil. a good read and gave me some good info on the game. better than most reviews i read out there.
