Hi guys, I know wikipedia has a list of games produced on every console - I'm wondering if there are any lists around that specifically denote exclusive games to one console though? I have a fair bit of SNES and SMD gear for instance, but I don't see a point to doubling up on games and was hoping there was a list of exclusive titles for SNES that aren't available on SMD floating around rather than trying to place the lists into excel and with my very limited skill in excel codes making one list compare to another for titles. Kind regards, Paul
i agree. these type of lists could be very useful. one of the downsides though i guess is situations when for example the snes and smd shared a game title but the game in question vary so much from each consoles version that it's worth owning both versions and also on some occasions where the game is completely different and shares pretty much title only (i know this example is more common between system generation titles eg: smd and master system asterix and the great rescue are different games) but i think there are some snes/smd titles that are different games with same title. i guess the lists would be very useful if there were informative enough to provide this sort of information along with the game titles in question.
That's true, it would be good to also keep the titles that are shared across systems that are vastly different. I'd imagine the difference between games on the same brand of system won't be an issue though (eg. SMS and SMD) because you'd be comparing like for like consoles ie. NES & SMS, SMD & SNES, Saturn & PS1?, DC & PS2?.
yes your right but i think there may be a few exceptions if my memory serves me right. i cant remember off hand but on very few titles there seemed to be a different team assigned to design a different game with same name for each system. "Scooby Doo Mystery" is definitely one also "sparkster" and "sunset riders" i presume there would be a few others aswell but all in all these would be rare cases.
