With luck it's only your fuse, these are easily replaced.
Open it up and post a picture of the power board.

I finally got the right screwdriver and opened her up but I am not sure where I am supposed to be looking.
If any one could help I would appreciate it.

    Check this little buggar:

In it should be this little 'cord' if it's broken you need to replace it, it's evry easy and cheap to replace this.
Just pull it out bring it to your local hardware shop and ask for another, it should cost you around 50 cents

When I opened it again I realised the big black cap closest to the fuse is leaking and i was wondering where i should get a replacement I've looked at a few but none look exactly the same(.eg different colour, shape).

Solder it out, clean up the surroundings and just bring it to a shop where they know their stuff to have it replaced.
Or read out the values and look it up online, color and such doesn't really matter here.

Oh, and while you're there, get a US power converter (also known as a 240v to 110V stepdown) - it'll save you blowing it up again! :p

It looks like you've got more issues than just a blown cap. Try taking a look around the charred area of the PCB....

Any component that's rated at 120V and had 240V go through it will probably have died.

That charred area seems to be normal, my CDi has the same issue. Though he's probably right.
