I hope quantities aren't too limited. Any idea of cost yet?

I'd certainly be interested in a finished product, but I'd also still be interested in a DIY kit if you're availability is being held up by availability of GG boards and assembly labor.

Can it still play Master System games?

since it uses an original game gear board, it should play master system games with the adapter or with the gg everdrive.

Awesome. Whatever it takes to make these widely available is good with me. It looks like you've overcome the main two problems anyone has in trying to consolize a GG...case and controller input. It's awesome that you've designed a circuit to demodulate the stock Genesis controller signals. The controller situation is what has kept a consolized GG on my to-do list for years without attention.

Thanks. I haven't designed a circuit for the controller. There is no need for it since the Genesis controller uses the d-pad and B&C buttons directly just like an MS controller. It's done like a padhack. You don't need to use the rest of the buttons. Designing the case took too much time though, after many trials and errors. There are also some other drawbacks too.

Does the start button still work then?

Could you upload some pictures of the system? It's very hard to see in your video what it actually looks like.

Wow great bit of kit. Top work.

Can I ask what type of video signal it outputs?

RGB+S, however Tim's GGTV board supports SVideo and composite as well. So these can be added too.

Too bad start don't work. You gotta keep the console close to you , like a NES classic.

start does work, but you have to rewire a donor pad for it.

Nice, I might be down for one or at least a DIY kit if the price is not crazy. I even have a GG that it's screen is not fairing well that i've been thinking about consolizing and shoving into a Jpn Master System shell (JPN MS due to thinner cart slot then USA).

Big fan of the MS & GG.

When I consolized a Game Gear, I left it inside the Game Gear shell. I pulled the screen, transformer, used Tim's RGB board, and wired up a 9 pin controller port - re-purposing the select line pin as the start button. I then modified a controller to send the start button down the same pin.

Although I am happy with the outcome, it would be nice to have a better solution for a case. The Japanese hobbyist that made a case that resembles a mini Sega Master System is often cited, but it wasn't mass produced.

Would you care to share a bit more about your case, and would you be open to suggestions for possible design changes? You mentioned that the case took a lot of time, trial, and error - so I imagine feedback and suggestions on changing it would be exasperating. Nevertheless, I would be interested in a discussion if you are open to it.
