Hey, I'm having major issues with my XDK making it practically un-usable. I can't do anything at all without the controller (wireless or wired) disconnecting every 5 or so minutes and it's become such a hassle trying to figure out how to fix it. I've read a few other threads on here that were related to issues with the controller disconnecting but they stated that the controller was disconnecting due to the KV not being the original, I however believe mine is the original as I have never changed it and I asked the person who I got it from and they "claim" to never have changed the KV. Any help would be much appreciated I severely need it. Thanks. :)

Actual XDK or a retail hacked to run the debug kernel?

Have you done a fresh recovery to the kit or updated to the latest? Perhaps there is some corruption in the flash memory seeing as both wired and wireless is having the issue.

I'm on a fresh recovery on the newest version available and it only happens on the newer recoveries not the old ones, but playing on the old ones is not an option for me.

I could only assume that your new recoveries are either somewhat corrupted, their is something wrong with your RF module, or it is just coincidence.

Yup^ i swapped the KV on my test kit a couple years back, and wireless controllers wouldn't even sink up to the unit. put back the stock KV, should solve the problem

Guys surely he has the original KV in place hence its syncing and working on older recoveries. Its quite possible that your RF board may not be "final", try switching it out and seeing if the problem persists.

It may sound extreme but it may also be worth trying the console and pad at a different location, my buddies Microwave oven disconnects his WIFI and probably his neighbours when its in use. There are a lot of random signals floating around!

Its true that the keyvault does hold the certificates needed to sync with the console however these certificates either work or dont. Simple as that. If it was a bad KV the controllers wouldnt sync at all and neither would anything other than a media remote or USB keyboard.

I have the same exact problem with my XDK man. Since the day it arrived it's been doing this to me. It makes testing things a lot more difficult when your controller keeps disconnecting every few minutes. Who by any chance did you happen to get your XDK off of and did you get it here like I did?

which kernel are you people on?, Ive had this issue but I used a memory edit tool to poke some bytes and the controller still on after 20mins.

Before it only lasted 5 mins, sometimes shorter.

    On Devkit not test kit.

    Poke offset 80128544 value 61290008993F006F

    for 16547/21256.3

Fixed my controller from turning off.

    I'm using a test kit.
Also is that a permanent fix or something that needs to be poked every boot?
