The NES clones are said not to be capable of handling more advanced mapper games such as MMC5 (Castlevania 3). Maniac Mansion would likely work though. But really, while it would have been cool if Nintendo produced a real SNES with NES backwards compatibility, these clones are of poor quality. If you want more than 1 console from a single unit, buy a Xbox and mod it to use the much higher quality emulators opposed to crappy clones.

While the "FC Twin" is a neat idea, I HATE it, it makes it so hard to find real Famicom systems for sale. Always pirate trash you find instead of the real thing.

The issues regarding MMC5 stem from poor design, not the "NoaC" themselves.

Truthfully the clones are of a higher order of accuracy than FCEU or SNES9X or at least any emulator I've heard was ported to Xbox; decent accuracy comes at a high cost--immense CPU time which isn't available on an Xbox. The only emulators that truely hold a candle to clones are Nintendulator, bSNES and I suppose Kega Fusion. There are a number of others that are not far behind but currently the bar for accuracy is at least a pixel-renderer for NES and scanline for the rest.

I don't have that much experience with clones but I used a NoaC which first off looked like the colors were off, and had very clearly incorrect sound. FCEU has better looking colors and MUCH better sound. But that's the extent of my experience of clones so I don't think much of them.

Overpriced trash. That thing is worth 10$ tops.

The chip design is overshadowed by the shoddy components and video.

If you ripped that out, and made a decent circuit with proper video out it might
    be something.

But then why bother when a snes is about $10.

    ASSEMBLER, share your connections!

Honestly, I can't find a SNES for less than $30-40, which isn't too bad a price I suppose.. It is a quality machine.

... It's worth the price for the real hardware, all right. Especially in regards to the SPU and GPU (specifically, video output).

It's called a hot butter knife, lad.

Honestly having one crappy system versus two quality systems, I'll take the two.

I saw one here and it's sold about $80 (every price is higher here ), but it makes no sense to buy it when you can pay $20-25 for both consoles in good condition.
