Agreed 100%. MK2 is one of the best fighting games ever made, even to this day. I can still break out the SNES and enjoy a good game of MK2

 

Waiting for it to download. It's been a looong time since I've played MK I've been meaning to pick up MK1 & 2 JAMMA PCBs, as far as I'm concerned the only MK games.

I'm going to assume that these combos are amazingly hard to pull off, as they don't look that amazing. Seeing as they're taking away whole health bars, I'd say my first assumption would be correct.

Never owned any MK, bar that I got MK1 for genny a half year or so back, never played it though. I do remember playing MK at my friend's house, in what 1st and 2nd grade. Better times, eh? :-(

No it was never released. The prototype had "blood" but it was no different than the released version with red "sweat." Even still it had censored fatalities. Two things that hurt my soul: No blood in SNES MK, and Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo not being released for SNES.

 

Those combos were very average, some of them very weak. Far better can definitely be pulled off in MK2, and a video really showcasing skill in that game would end off with a flourishing fatality/babality/friendship etc. The video as a whole was really weak.

MK2 was the epitome of the series. After that it was all downhil. MK3/UMK3 were Ok/good, but once the series went 3D, it went straight to the fiery depths of hell.

 

IMHO, the Street Fighter games beat MK in all areas except cheesiness :smt043

 

well there is a gamegenie/action replay code that makes MK1 SNES version bloody

Correction, there is a GG/AR code that patches the "sweat" color from greenish white to orangish red. No fatalities ((

I always liked Killer Instinct for combos Thankfully when MK got old at UMK3, Killer Instinct was there.

 

indeed KI is one game i have and love it (make a 32 hit combo)

but damn one of my fingers did have it good after that but it healed.

I meant MK2. Gosh, it was good playing that. I sucked though. My friend could pull off a lot of the fatalities. One time, I paid him $1 to tell me some, and my parents said I should ask for it back because that was a waste of my money (didn't get an allowance at the time, and being in Kindergarden--1st grade, meant $1 was a lot).
