Anyone ever ship via freight or receive an item via freight? I'm planning on selling a large and heavy item (info below), but I'm worried that the shipping will be astronomical and/or unreliable and it will be damaged. It'll be a one time thing too, which I'm not too sure is even possible. So, let me know your experiences, and any help too- companies to go with, services to use... Approx dimensions (not yet packed up)- 30" x 38" x 34" Weight 100+ pounds Thanks.
I'd recommend getting a heavy-duty plastic pallet to put it on, and buying and cutting vertical wooden posts for it yourself, before the freight company arrives. I've used UPS Freight a number of times, and haven't had any problems with them, since I switched to plastic pallets.
