I guess so but don't want to throw money away. I want to record me playing some Megadrive games then make some video reviews. This is what I was thinking of buying, any good? http://www.amazon.co.uk/JSG-Accesso...corder/dp/B007RBL6FI/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
I would say, very unlikely. It has no analogue tuner and I imagine cannot record anything that is not being shown on Freeview. I would suggest using a video capture card (for example, the Dazzle Video Creator) plugged into the Mega Drive's AV socket with your TV on RF/Aerial (as capture devices often create lag which makes gameplay difficult), or possibly one that has a throughput to the TV... especially if you're intending to film other consoles where the 'two connection' trick may not work.
the dazzle has inputs for that? i can't seem to find a capture device which has the old inputs, just RCA, composite etc i was going to get the roxio for ps1/ps2/gamecube etc but it looks like dreamcast and megadrive will require a completely different device!
hey thanks ive found an old pinncale PCI Tv card with an aerial input, look at the black PCI input, thats the right one for the card? or should i just buy this? it says windows 7, analog signals only which is what i need, s video and aerial inputs. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PCI-TV-Vi...75150256?pt=AU_Components&hash=item3a5d673db0
cool thanks, it looks right to me and says windows 7 too. it's from hong kong but it's the only one which shows me a screenshot of the software. dam my graphics card for taking up 2 pci slots xD such a beast but, such a large beast... do you know anything about video production/editing, do you or anyone else use Sony vegas? id' rather not use their software, id rather use sony vegas 10 pro to do a real time capture from the tv capture card.
