Well the first thing to do is to remove everything putting a strain on the crack making it worse. Take of the CP and maybe the monitor bezel. I'm not really sure what sort of plastic is used really but you should find that out and then find out how to repair that particular kind of plastic. Also find out what the outer layer is and what to use there.

They're made from fibreglass, so you need a car fibreglass repair kit. You'll also need to prepare the surface for the fix by sanding it down with some wet & dry paper. Make sure you wear a mask though, fibreglass is very dangerous stuff if you breath it in. The only problem with doing this type of fix is you'll need to paint the area to get it looking nice again. This is the correct way to repair fibreglass though.

By the way, that's not a new Astro City cab, I've seen one in my local arcade in better condition and they've been there for years. Someone ripped your friend off by telling him it was new.

Maybe by new it meant new to him, ie new old laptops etc.

I think Yakumo knows, and he just wanted to crack me up a bit. (Pun not intended)

Well, the crack luckily doesn't go through, it is just cracked a bit. But that also means I can't access the cut surfaces for preparations.

I think I will ask someone in a local car repair shop, thanks for all your help!

Be sure that not only patching up the crack but to strengthen the structure. From the pic it looks like weight on top from "heavy" game play? A piece of angle iron inside should work.
