So i was looking online for cheap 360 games i could/should buy and one of them was Crackdown, now i remember reading somewhere a year or two back that it was supposed to be released on the original xbox around 2004 or 2005 before development was moved to the 360. Did Crackdown ever start of as an original xbox game and if so was there any info released about it like screen-shots...etc, i'm interested in finding out what the game would have been like had it not been moved to the 360.
Crackdown was indeed developed at first for the xbox. Here's an article about the development. http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=16630 And here's a nice video http://www.siulong.it/portfolio/?p=513 (click on the picture to play the video)
Thanks for that the video was most surprising. Being though it was a xbox game it looked very polished for a Xbox 1 Beta/Alpha (whatever it was)
Some of the later life Xbox games looked amazingly good. I think the system got killed before it really shone. -hl718
Why do you think xbox 1? It looks like a 360 game in the video. And the date is 2005, at that stage they had changed to 360 development.
Not Xbox, but still: X05 screenshots: http://xbox.kombo.com/article.php?artid=6012 http://news.teamxbox.com/xbox/9430/Crackdown-Announced-for-Xbox-360/ X05 video: http://uk.xbox360.ign.com/dor/objec...rackdown_100505.html;jsessionid=14k71glgd9wys E3 2006 video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w5yN4XtEB7o
