Hi there, I have an Acer Aspire 5739G and I notice that sometimes I get a crackle from either my internal or external speakers. I've had a quick read around and I found sometimes it's Nvidia Powermizer causing the problem. Anyone heard about this before? Or is my problem different?

Got any suggestions how to fix this?

Try disabling/muting the CD-Audio channel in the Volume mixer along with other inputs you are not using

Ah good idea. I'll keep that in mind once/if the crackle sounds occurs again.

I find for some weird reason using the mouse/trackpad sometimes makes noises on the speakers...
