Craigslist sale (not mine) Apple IIgs in Michigan, USA

Nice price at $100 and seems to work but no disks. eBay usually have those going close to $500 so it might be worthwhile if you're in Michigan, north of Detroit Metro area. His number 810 845 5129

 

thats a revised apple II - i never saw one like that before. Its actually nicer looking than the original one.
the original one had the keyboard and desktop case built into one unit.

Someone will pick this up and be very happy with it.

 

The IIGS is different from the original Apple II. It used a different CPU (the same one that was used in the SNES) and had a GUI similar to the Macintosh.

That's a cool machine. I might've considered getting that if I was in Michigan, but I'm not.

 

I could have taken home 25 complete Apple II systems about 5 years back. They were sitting in a school storeroom just taking up space. I didn't want them and didn't bother. Had no idea they sold for anything of value until a few years later.

Bummer.

 

thats the first edition IIgs, the woz edition. remember the day it was released and i made an effort to be at computerland for its arrival, man a long time ago.
