I put a server up for sale and every single reply has bee for: Pay with cashiers check or money order... I will send a courier... $30 extra to keep... etc. Man I hate ebay, but this is worse.
No, it's not worse than eBay. 1. You get cash on pickup which isn't terrible like the guaranteed screwjob that is eBay. 2. You can bait and play with the scammers when you get bored. Fart in a jar and send it to them in lieu of whatever they want! 3. No fees! 4. Local pickup cuts down on scamming possibility. Yeah, craigslist scammers are irritating, but you can stop them in their tracks by saying "No, I won't ship under any circumstances."
