Sorry for the late bump but I never got around to share some bits on the history of Retsuzan and Crazy Power Disc.

The Doujin group Retsuzan (裂斬) was founded by a bunch of friends in school. One of them was Koji Yokoyama aka Donguri (real name posted with permission). At first they would make fighting games using on of the tools from the popular Tsukuuru software series (2D Kakutou Tsukuuru, here's a link to the product page of the updated version).

After graduating Donguri started to learn programming, made a couple of minigames and then, as his first bigger project, Crazy Power Disc (released 2005). It was for most parts a one-man-project with Donguri doing the programming, graphics and sound effects. The music and voice came from artists he found on the net and asked for collaboration.

Busy with his job he recently doesn't find time to make games but he would like to start a new project different from CPD.

What I personally can add after the couple of mails we exchanged, is that he seems to be a very nice guy. Some people have asked me via PM about a way to contact him. Well, his email address is on the game's website where you can also find a patch for CPDP that kills some bugs.

OK. Here's the update: I managed to get in touch with one of the guys at Retsuzan. Fortunately, he has some stock of Crazy Power Disc Perfect left ("not so many") and agreed that I make an interest check in the forum. I also have the OK from Kevin to set up sales here.

One copy is 32 USD/25 EUR/21.5 GBP incl. worldwide shipping with SAL (economy airmail, not insured).

This might be the last chance to buy a new copy of the game since it's sold out in all online Doujin shops. I'd like to order a batch (the only one?) by the end of the week, so anybody who is interested please post here. Don't wait too long. :)

Update January 15, 2010: The last copy I had for sale has arrived at its destination. There has been continued interest in the last year with people registering here just to contact me to get the game. Whoever reads this thread in the future: if you want to chat about the game, feel free to drop me a PM but all of the discs are gone. :)
