Akin to the Funny pics and Video, I thought a creepy and scary version would be cool, too. Some of them are from and ideas for D&D campaigns so they are made up, but they are genuinely creepy regardless: Here's one I like: (I can put the rest on some file sharing program if anyone wants more. I could post the whole thing probably, but its extremely long.) 1. - A new ad campaign begins selling something generally useless to the PC in question. It features billboards with a beautiful model with sunglasses on, but you know how it goes . . . the PC can tell something’s just not right about it. It’s always around and the PC is given the impression that he's being watched by this image. It has a bad tendency to turn up in magazines while in a waiting room or put up so it looks like a billboard image is staring at the PCs bedroom window. The PC dreams of the model, and in the dream the model lowers its sunglasses revealing that it has two toothy mouths where it should have eyes. It babbles unspeakable things, or perhaps just asked about the yellow sign. Here's another story that creeped me out: A young girl is left home alone with only her dog to protect her. When night approaches, she locks all the doors and tries to lock all the windows but one won't close. She decides to leave it unlocked and goes to bed. Her dog takes its customary place under her bed. In the deep of night she awakens to a dripping sound coming from the bathroom. The girl is too scared to go check so she reaches her hand under the bed. She feels a reassuring lick from her dog and falls back to sleep. She reawakens to the dripping sound, reaches her hand down to the dog where she feels the reassuring lick and falls back to sleep. Once more she awakens to the dripping sound. She reaches her hand down and feels the lick of her dog. Now curious about the dripping sound, she gets up and slowly walks towards the bathroom, the dripping sound getting louder as she approaches. She reaches the bathroom and turns on the light. She is greeted by a horrific sight; hanging from the shower nozzle is her dog with its throat slit open and its blood dripping into the bathtub. As for pictures, this one ALWAYS scares me. Anyone got any more? Or real stories?
Somehow I knew before even clicking the link that you were going to use the Mysterious Stranger segment from "The Adventures of Mark Twain". Also, that picture is from the "Scary Stories" trilogy. Its just some books filled with folk tales and campfire stories and the like, but the art work is damn creepy and it is a good read all in all.
The art was most certainly creepier than the stories themselves. :lol: There was one kids horror book though that was actually really kinda scary. I can't remember the name of it (it was horribly generic though, Scary Stories or Scary Stores to Tell in the Dark or something about "Scary" and/or "Dark"), I just remember that the cover had some cartoon creature that looked like a skinned human reaching out. Like, it had a white skull for the head and the rest looked like muscle or something. At any rate, the stories in THAT book were pretty messed up, as the children in it would often die. At the time (I was in 5th or 6th grade when I got it), that was unheard of.
Hey I remember that animation. As jp said, it's a segment from "The Adventures of Mark Twain". I had the full movie on VHS as a kid (dubbed to swedish too iirc).
I know what its from. I've seen the Adam and Eve part and the super weird vision of Heaven part as well.
yeah. tbh.back then when I was a kid I didn't think to much about it, but now when I think back on the movie it's all "wtf?!". o_Ô
