    Cross Products SNASM Mega-CD Ad

    Not sure that this deserves it's own thread, but I don't want to necrobump a ten year old one. From British computer and video game trade paper "CTW" (Computer Trade Weekly) dated September 28 1992 (as the title implies this was a weekly publication);

    Incidentally, in 2015 prices that's £14,000 or $25,000.

    Interesting. I used to go clubbing on 'The Calls'. I had no idea Cross Products was down the street.

    Nice ad!

    Wait... do you have old CTW issues? I've been looking for back issues for bloody years! MCV keep their archive in a locked vault that even the staff can't access!

    Only one issue unfortunately. I'll scan it at some point.

    MCV used to get them out for their "That was Then" and "From the Archives" features. I think I remember reading in one of those that some had been lost or destroyed so I don't think that even MCV has a complete set.

    That would be awesome - thanks!

    I actually have the first issue of MCV and it's dated earlier than stated on Wikipedia. Who'd have thought a user-contributed website could get facts wrong? :p I kept a whole pile from the latter part of my working at the shop, but sadly I don't have much in the way of early MCV issues and no CTW.

    The last person I spoke to was Hannah, many years ago. She told me they only have one of each CTW in their archive and likewise with early MCV issues. She didn't mention a gap - but it's possible. And what she said contradicted someone else, who said they had to keep a certain number of each issue on file. There is definitely at least one copy of each issue still in existence, though.

    "Prepare yourself for a warm, fuzzy feeling" - when I was working for Traveller's Tales some of my Megadrive veteran colleagues described seeing 68000 opcodes after 20 years as a "warm, fuzzy feeling." Lovely :)
