I recently had an issue with a 6V lamp in a 12V socket (thank you preowner..) in the "View 3" button. When someone was playing in "View 3" the button heated up and melted the surrounding plastic.

I turned the system off and replaced all button lamps with LEDs.

However, now I have a new problem. "View 1" is always lit.
So independent of the current view or the lamp diagnostics the "View 1" lamp is on. It does not flash if any of the other lamps flashes either.

My guess is that one of the drivers on the wheel driver burned through because of the "View 3" "meltdown".
Another idea was that the cables were melted too and had shortened each other.

    • I did a quick visual inspection on the cable going to the lamp and couldn't find any problems. There might be parts I did not check because the harness gets thick and confusing here and there
    • As I also removed the coin door etc. I also thought that it could be an error code of some sort. But even after reconnecting everything the problem did still exist.
    • I also had a look in the manual and found nothing about error codes or the problem I'm having. To make matters worse, I noticed that the cable colors going to the lamps seem to be swapped for "View 1" and "View 2" in my machine (Checked on Port 8 and the Buttons). - As "View 2" and "View 3" are properly lit when pressing the correspondant buttons I guess that this is a mistake in the manual. (Which also lists Port 8 in the following order: "View 2", "View 1", "View 3")
    • Another thing I noticed was, that the system refused to boot when one of the video cables came loose (hanging in mid air). During the failing boot none of the lamps were lit except for "View 1" (I believe, not 100% sure though).

What could be the problem - is it dangerous?

I did not measure voltages on P8 yet. Nor did I check for shorts as I have no multimeter at the moment.
