That's right, it was posted on several torrent sites yesterday, a full week before the release date.:dance:
Unfortuatly almost every game gets 'leaked' early. So unless it's a early-leak like one/two months and up, it isnt worth mentioning it.
Yeah, there always seems to be an inside man. :/ Or someone who got the game way early. In the case of Manhunt 2 PS2 version, I don't really care.. but for everything else, it's a shame. (I also have no sympathy for Nintendo giving FULL COPIES of Super Mario Galaxy to Gamestop. That doesn't make it right to download it. Even with the new anti-copy measures, it would only be a matter of time before a fix arose!)
Always been like that, always will be. Back in the SNES days we already had people who would break open the killer instict demo truck to dump it and then put it up on bbs. Not to mention all the several carts stolen at gaming shows, before everything was hidden behind security glass. The situation nowadays is actually much better. Stuff gets leaked later, it just seems worse nowadays since everyone and their mother has the possibility to download it, even on their phones if they want to. This is what makes mainstream piracy and causes loss of profit. Used to know a guy who always told me the wildest stories about oldschool piracy, including one in which he claimed the WuTang DJ Mathematicz was a SNES eastcoast supplier (as in rom dumper) for a certain release group. I'd be excited if I were the kind to download it. I don't think there's anything necessarily wrong about wanting to play the game earlier, but there's a release date for a reason and I doubt the developers like hearing their product leaked. On another note, it's pretty dumb to download leaks like this anyway, because they become (if not already) heavily monitored. I'm buying it anyway, though, so it doesn't matter.
Well, i think that this version that got "leaked" is in fact the pre-load version that was available from EA, razor1911 cracked it and now we are able to play it. Great game BTW, much better optimized than the demo
