Hi guys! I've just realised, after looking at my dust-covered Wii, that I'd like to buy some Gamecube games again. I've been looking around, desperately trying to remember just what type of games I like. So far what I can come up with are these; Virtua Striker 3 2002 [LOVE THIS GAME!] Crazy Taxi 18 Wheeler ISS2 Mario Strikers Animal Crossing So, can anyone give me some recommendation based on the above? Or just some really good 'Cube games? Thanks guys! Tony PS, I don't like Zelda. PPS, will I need a game cube memory card? And does anyone know if these pads are ok? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/WHITE-CONTROL...yZ147176QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Eternal Darkness RE4 (Wii edition is the best, supports GC controllers too) Super Smash Bros. Melee Donkey Kong Jungle Beat Chibi Robo F-zero GX Star Fox Adventures Star Fox something (previously Armada) Baten Kaitos I and II Killer 7 Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door Geist Star Wars: Rogue Leader and Rebel Strike Soul Calibur 2 Wind Waker and some more that don't come to mind as I have too many!!
My pics that Barc0de missed: Tales of Symphonia (sequel coming to Wii, might want to play the GC one first.... great game too) Skies of Arcadia: Legends (only if you want to dedicate 60+ hours to a game... but was one of my GC favs) Metroid Prime/Metroid Prime 2 (the definitive adventure shooter on the system) Beyond Good and Evil (also on PC, PS2, XB): By far the best game that so few people played... a hidden gem worth finding. Second Sight (also for PC, PS2, XB): Fun shooter, cool game mechanics and awesome plot twists. Enjoyed this one a lot. [edit] You will need a GC memory card, the GameCube games cannot save to the internal Wii memory. As for that controller they are a little garbage in responsiveness and probably won't last you too long - but it'll get the job done. If you have extra cash to buy an official controller, please do so. Hope this helps!
I'm going to nix crazy taxi, as the Dreamcast version is years better... And I'll recommned.... F Zero GX Chibi Robo ...those are just really good games that I can think of off the top of my head.
Resident Evil games, especially Resident Evil Donkey Konga Mario Tennis Mario Golf Mario Cart (with some reservations) Phantasy Star Online (it's not online anymore, but the offline stuff is fun) Viewtiful Joe series Prince of Persia SSX3 Pikmin the Tony Hawk games Super Monkey Ball Billy Hatcher the two Lord of the Rings games (Two Towers, Return of the King) Lego Star Wars Super Mario Sunshine (not as good as Mario 64, but still ace IMO).
Ikaruga Metroid Prime 1 (haven't played 2 so i can't reccomend it) RE 1 & 4 Baten Kaitos Super Mario Sunshine Star Wars Rogue Leader (rebel strike is awful IMO) Mario Kart DD F-Zero GX Wind Waker & Twilight Princess (i know you said that you do not like Zelda, but they are GC's best games IMO)
What's the matter? CAN'T HANDLE OVER-THE-TOP MISSILE ACROBATICS?:dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance: (I haven't played either, so I'll take your word for it.)
MGS1 is the best MGS so far in my view the GC ver. is the definitive one, unless you want the VR Missions.
Main problem is that level design is totally not adapted with the MGS2 features : being able to jump over ramps just ruins the game, FPS mode mades you able to finish the game with NO infiltration at all. It's beautiful but it's useless. And if you really want to know, in MGS4, you'll be back in Shadow Moses and will play it's true definitive version, not ruined by Silicon Knights shitty jokes.
Uh... hello, dumbasses? (Except Tauciaus). Pikmin Pikimin 2 Such excellent games. How could anyone forget these? Basically the last two games I bust out every now and again.
I'd also recommend Luigi's Mansion. A real classic, in my opinion. Also, I think MGS: Twin Snakes is a pretty good game. It's pretty much identical to the original but with better graphics, new cutscenes, and better controls. Although the PS1 version is a great game, the pixellation and the polygon bending gets annoying at times.
