Thanks to generous user support we were able to:

Attain all but one of the needed tape drives for recovering data from the acclaim tapes.
Users donated drives at their own expense and effort! This effort has been in the works
for a long time now, and finally will begin once the card arrives and the drives are tested.

Acquired a PCIE ultra320 scsi card from ebay thanks to user Dashcloud for use with the donated drives.
This allows us to take advantage of the full speed of the donated drives and is a powerful tool
as it represents the pinnacle of SCSI(we won't ever need any other cards).

Used the balance of funds from last month and donations to pay for this month's hosting ($120)

We're trying to raise the final $48.74 for the last tape drive we need for the acclaim tape project.
This drive is needed for the tapes labeled "jupiter strike".

Thanks for all the support last month; a special thanks to Dashcloud for the crucial donation for the
    Acclaim archive project.

It's just awesome to see projects like this get so much support from this beautiful community that's been put together over the years; ASSEMblergames is one of the sites I check everyday, and I myself have donated to the site and the Geist Force release project in the past. If I had the spare money to allow myself to donate more often, I'd donate to this site for sure because at least you know it's going to be used for the intended purpose of the donation. ASSEMbler you're an inspiration, along with the others to assist in these projects, to just so concretely honor your word when it comes to community projects, despite the fact it's known you're a busy man trying to make a living as well; yet you still go above and beyond, I'm glad there are still people like you that still have the vision for building communities like this and helping keep them afloat as time goes on.

I know there are others, such as the other people who donate to the forum and community projects, and obviously the amazing staff; just pointing this out because I do realize that ASSEMbler isn't the only person hard at work, and I would list everyone by name if I remembered the names off head and if there weren't just a lot of people who do something for this community in some way, shape, or form. Every active person on this site rocks no matter who you are, what your position is, or even if you donate; I've learned so much about gaming history and other misc topics that would have never crossed my mind thanks to this community.

At the very least, I can to what I can to start new topics and provide information that'd be new to a lot of people that I've yet to see on this site or other forums; I can't give any timeline as it'll happen when it happens (when I can tolerate being at the computer, health issues) but I'll share what I can share, even if the majority doesn't find it all that interesting. This is the home of the obscure after all, and I'm happy to have had the opportunity to stumble across this site and get hooked in by the staggeringly awesome quality of the community in general.

Thank you, everyone, for providing such an experience over the years; I only wish there was a way to better connect in a more "public" place with people of similar interests here and get to know each other a bit more as I'm always interested in having people to chat with about homebrew, gaming of all eras, development, and more recently, carpentry. PS: Doctor Who is always a topic I'm interested in and it does sadden me to see such a lack of DW related topics, I know there's a few, I just feel like there should be more, lol.
