Hello everyone! This is my first thread since the site upgraded and I thought I could share an idea I had for a while since the forums are back online.

I know you can save custom Excitebike tracks to audio cassettes, but that's not all you can save them to. Apparently, you can save them to your computer by plugging the line out from the Famicom keyboard into the microphone jack on your PC and recording the audio.

This gave me an idea. Let's use this thread to share custom tracks for Excitebike fans everywhere to enjoy!

The following steps apply to the Famicom family of systems. The NES requires a way of hooking up the Famicom Keyboard to it. I hear the ENIO Expansion board works great for this function as it adds the 15-pin Famicom controller port without modding the system.

Here's how to record those awesome tracks:

Step 1. Connect the line out jack on the Famicom Keyboard to your PC's microphone jack using a 3.5mm audio cable.

Step 2. Open your favorite microphone recording program in your operating system of choice. Click record in it.

Step 3: Once the recording starts, select "SAVE" on the NES/Famicom and wait for it to finish. After it is done saving, stop recording and save the audio file.

From there, you can upload the audio file or post a link to it here. Feel free to post a screenshot of the track too. From there, others can download it.

To use the file, simply take a 3.5mm audio cable from your PC headphone jack and plug it into the line in on the Famicom keyboard. In Excitebike, select "LOAD" and then play the audio file you saved.

If you are in an emulator... I don't know how to get it running. It should work on emulators but I couldn't load or even save a track in Nestopia. If you can figure it out, please let me know and I'll edit this part of the post.

Let's go and make some awesome tracks!

P.S. I'm not sure if this thread is in the right place so if a moderator could move it to the right place, it would be much appreciated. If it is fine here, let me know and I'll delete this paragraph
