I just wanted to share this awesome memory card that I made with a 2.0 USB 4gig drive. I took it all apart and took just the main board and soldered it to a xenium USB adapter that goes into the controller port. I removed the USB port form the xenium adapter and put it on the bottom so I can still hook it up to the computer for programming. Then attached the 4 gig chip to the top side and it works awesome! The great thing is that after it is formated there is 3.98 left! That way I can get as close as possible to the 4 gig limit as possible!

I use this for soft modding. I like the bigger drive since I can just install XBMC all at once without needing any other discs. I updated the install to the last version of XBMC and updated all the apps also. Once I install the soft mod I do not have to do anything at all!

Building something like it too but mine will be in a memory card. Will have a female USB port on it for keyboards and other stuff. A switch will be used to select between the 4GB USB drive and the USB port. No need for PC access since I can just FTP into it through one of my consoles should files need updating.

Like this one? I used the same chip in this one! I made this one in a mad catz shell and a programmer from the memory card port of a controller.

What is it? A 4 GB USB 1.1 FATX flash drive?

4 GIG USB 2.0 FATX flash drive. My computer sees it as 2.0 generic flash drive. That how I know it is 2.0 and not 1.1. I have it formatted FATX right now and it works perfect FAT32 also.

Something like that. But mine will be in an official card case, have a female port on the end, and have a switch to select between the memory or USB port for the Xbox. 2 in 1 mod.

This is my mod that I'll be doing it to. I use this for my server keyboard/ touchpad mouse combo unit to connect to my consoles. Throw a DPDT switch in on the data lines to select between the USB drive and the female port being connected to the console.

I would do that too but it's pointless now as I have a wired 360 controller for that.

May do it anyways as I have 4 spare controller ports from a busted 1.6 console. Put a 4 port hub in and everything is a go. Need a small project box for that since I'd have mine externally connected.

And you derped the image link. Had to do some URL hackery to see it.

Thank you! i spend alot of time on getting the mods done correct and looking clean! I love to do custom work and I hate looking at rushed and sloppy work! I have OCD real bad! If there is a imperfection I will tear it apart and start over until I get it correct!

But that is a great compliment! Those words make it all worth spending the extra time making sure it looks good!
