Customer Service message for NTL ISP hits the news

    Customer service line filled with expletives

    LONDON (Reuters) - Customers of cable firm NTL were subjected to a barrage of profanity after a malicious hacker or disgruntled employee changed the company's telephone service message, the Sun has reported.

    The newspaper reported on Monday that customers who called to report a fault with their service were told:

    "You are through to NTL customer services. We don't give a sh*t about you. We are never here. We just f*ck you about, basically, and we are not going to handle any of your complaints. Just f*ck off and leave us alone."

    NTL was unavailable for comment late on Sunday but the Sun (newspaper) said the message had now been changed and an NTL spokesman had apologised for the matter.

    It is accurate though. NTL's cusotmer service line is bullshit. I would often be put on hold for literally hours.

    ntl customer support isn't that bad.

    Granted usually when stuff starts fucking up it's on a Sunday which conveniently customer support is closed (used to be open sundays aswell) but each time we have a problem they sort it out relatively quickly.

    For example: about 2 weeks ago our remote went to buggery and all the buttons seem to randomly remap themselves to different functions. After a week of putting up with it we finally got sick ofr it and phoned up - last week the replacement remote came(with free batteries - wooo!) and it works like a charm :smt023

THe amount of time Ispent on hold or trying to get in touch with them. Don't even get me started about BT, British Telecom my arse. More like Bleeding Tits :smt067

    It's been nearly two years since I left the UK, but their internet support was abolsutely shit then. Hours-long waits...rude reps hanging up on you..the works. When I went this past spring I had a few friends on NTL; speed was still crap but I heard they were upgrading it to 112K I beleive it was for free that summer.

    Holly shit, 112k !! Hold me back. That's far too fast to handle :smt043 They are taking the piss with that speed. THey should be offering over 4 mbps at least by now.

    Haha. That's UK telecom companies for you. Always and forever taking the piss, no matter what service for. How much have payphone charges jumped exponentially since 1999 alone. Bloody hell.

    well i am quite happy through my T3 line (10 megabits up and download) so the danish isps (mostly tele companies) can go screw them selfs up there own arse with their "lightning fast internet " because my isp is DBN (dansk bredbåndsnet aka danish broadband net) the former swedish BBB in DK and i never had any problems with them or their service and T3 is fecking fast
