    Hello everyone.

I have a SEGA Genesis 2 console with faulty RGB encoder that don't display the Red channel.

Where can I find a trusty site for purchase an original replacement Sony CXA1145M RGB Encoder (or equivalent)?

I don't need more than 3 pieces, with shipping option to Bogotá Colombia.

    Thanks in advice

I doubt it's the encoder, have you ruled out other potential causes?

    I can get them.

Id suggest stealing one from another machine - to confirm its the issue, then get in touch if you really need it.

The part where I think the problem is precisely the RGB encoder, I tried the circuit continuity and making bridges by sending the signal from red to green channel channel and the two mixed together.

However, I have my doubts of the correct operation of the C25 capacitor.

I'll try using my another Sega Genesis RGB Circuit

(Check this PCB Picture for reference: http://arcade.ym2149.com/megadrive/md2_pcb_partside.jpg the C25 capacitor is located near the upper right corner)

Thanks for the help, i'll keep reporting :)

PS: Sorry for my bad english

I lost my hopes, there's nothing wrong with the circuit continuity and the red channel seems to work just before the RGB encoder input. The channel works bridged to another console.

If anyone have a replacement encoder (CXA1145M, TSOP model), please send me a PM with the details for purchase

    Thanks
