Hey Guys I have a Toshiba 32" TV that I'm using now. I hook up my 360 via the D3 input. I just got a 32" JVC from a firend which has D4 inputs. He was leaving Japan so I bought it from him for $70 because no one else would take it. Has anyone made the switch from D3 to D4? Any comments on the difference? D3 is 1080i, D4 is 720p. My main concern is gaming since that's really only when I use the TV, but I suppose I could also add the HDDVD drive as well. Any tips?
So, basically your question boils down to whether 1080i or 720p is better for gaming, right? If that's the case, I'd say it depends on what type of TV it is. If it's a rear-projection TV or a CRT I'd say 1080i, but for a Plasma or LCD I'd say 720p. The reason for this is that interlaced generally looks like shit on an LCD or Plasma, and slightly less so on projectors and CRT's.
I'd probably say 1080i if it has a native resolution that high. However, if you'd prefer progressive scan, 720p is still perfectly adequate.
I'll buy it off you mate ! Is it wide screen? I can come and pick it up in the car if you'll sell it  Yakumo
Is this the one that does 720p, right? If it's wide screen and has a nice image I'll take it. I'll send you a PM. Yakumo
