I am not a very experienced MegaDrive coder, but I recently took on the task of learning the VDP. I certainly don't know much, but I finally got tiling working. This is VERY simple, just a tile in the top right corner. I'm just glad that I finally sorta understand this stuff. I could never hope to be come as good as some of the people out there like TµEE. In fact, he is helping to teach me, so I would never want to 1up him. :110: It may not be much, but it's a start. I may start learning the sound hardware soon. ;-)

I will, once I get around to it. I am actually messing around with a ton of systems. I have sdk's for n64, ps1, saturn, etc... So I am gonna try to learn at least 1 or 2 things for each, and then stick with the one I am most comfortable with. I will definitely work more with the Mega Drive though, I might just try to do mode 4 for a Mega Drive game. I dunno if I can test it though, I doubt any emulators out there are accurate enough to support mode 4 in MD mode.
