Damn, i need to upgrade my physic card in order to run this game.

How would this work? Wouldn't everbody who plays online needs a physics card to get into matches with people who have physics cards? I thought iwas a all or nothing kind of thing.

Minimum system requirements for "XXXX" game:
butt level physics card and "X" amount of ram plus "XYZ" video card

 

The way the physics cards are supposed to work, at least as it's been explained to me, is that it just offloads some of the processing from the CPU. Basicly, if your engine supports the card, it will send the physics instructions there instead of the main processor. That frees up your processor to handle other tasks. One of the issues we discovered while working on a similar project for AI, is that it is patheticly easy to cheat. Ever seen a hacked driver for a video card that allows you to see through walls? Imagine a hacked physics card driver that allows you to control your own gravity in an online game... It would be very dificult to detect unless manufacturers digitally sign their drivers and each game checks the sig before it launches.

 

i also thought about those problems, i think those physics cards would be better used in a video game console
