Can't believe no one's started a thread about this yet. This has gone from a game which I had never heard of and only reminded me, in name, of Darkstalkers, to a game that I am literally giddy about. Enjoy the vid, pics (look at them, they're amazing), and hands-on comments. For PS3 and 360 on January 1st: http://www.joystiq.com/2009/06/04/hands-on...s-xbox-360-ps3/
Looks interesting but maybe too much like devil may cry 4 for me....im gonna buy the wolverine game for my hack and slash kicks :110: the 360 's answer to god of war  EDIT: after doing more research on this game i cant wait either (screw wolverine xD) i wonder if you have to fight the other horsemen?
Thank god you edited it and said that, before I got to the "edit" part I was about to smack you :110: It's one of those games that looks generic, and for some reason after you watch it, you get about as giddy as you did once you heard Street Fighter 4 was coming out.
Its the story im really interested in, i like all ancient mythology so i hope they dont screw it up with something stupid alla resi 5 (what the hell did they do to wesker?) anyway yeah....looking good so far ;-)
Well, it's already off Biblicaly, as none of the horsemen actually rebel, but maybe they can do something that is non-canonical yet enjoyable, like Odin Sphere. Vanillaware did a pretty good job with Odin Sphere in that it has elements of Norse mythology and is still enjoyable in spite of it not really following it's supposed roots. -ud
I think he means the biblical sense is cool as to all the characters. But seeming as this is all supposed to happen in the near future, we don't know if they rebel or not .
Oh yeah, I forgot about this. The warrior guy on the horse really reminds me of Arhcaeon or whatever his name is from Warhammer. Looks cool, I'll probably get it for my 360.
Yea, I'm getting this for sure on the PS3. It's nice to show a dev like THQ that, hey.. if you make good games, we'll buy them! I heard about a year or so ago they were running into financial difficulties because "movie license games aren't as profitable as they used to be". Nice to see another company (like High Voltage) come into the world of good software
I don't think THQ develops games, but I could be wrong. EDIT: Yep, looks like I was wrong. lol I'm not sure which of their games are made or published by them though. Upon further viewing, Darksiders looks awesome, I think my favorite genre are action RPG style games like these.
