    Hello guys,

    -.bin
    -.tpl
    -.arc
    -.h4m
    -.poo
    -.pro
    -.sam
    -.sdi
    -.son
    -.efs
    -.mhp

I'm glad about any help I can get. Thx in advance

So... *.bin datas normally contain important datas for a programm, I think. If that's so, you can't really tell which programm should be used, as binaries can contain videos, images and other things. TPL datas are pictures, if I remember right. I don't know if they're one and the same, but the PC Version of Resident Evil 4 uses pictures that you can easily open with Linux Ubuntu. But I don't know how to do it on Windows.

.h4m are video, you can found those files in F-Zero GX. I read that this is the same codec used by Sega for Dreamcast.

i don't remember seing .h4m in sega dreamcast games. on the other hand .sfd (video) were used quite often. best thing about it, there is a sfd to mpg converter out there that will allow you to convert the sofdec files to mpg and watch them on your pc.
the only one i really tested was the resident evil 4 bonus disc. however the .sfd files were in a .tgc file, and those have to be converted to .gcm first...
.thp are also gamecube movie files, as far i know they cannot be converted yet, but can be played with tphplay which you can download from here:
    http://www.amnoid.de/gc/
Some of the games that use .thp files for movies are Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn and Super Mario Galaxy

    hope this helps...

.tpl is an image format, if you download the GC emulator gcube, there's a tpl converter executable there

.arc is an archive format used in some games, there's an extractor for it someplace too

if the .arc is an archive (wich is something like .rar if i'm not mistaken) you can use free arc for it (yes it is free :p).

oh if you want to extract arc files theirs a very easy tut on how to do that and to view the models on a pc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pa60GeJ0-Qc
also this works with game-cube games as well i extracted many models from sms,
also is it possible to modify arc files? for ex i want to replace a file and i want to repack it as arc file then add it in an iso

edit oh anyone know how to open a .tgc file? i found a sms demo on a demo disk and their could be some interesting beta models in their but i dont know how to open a file like that:S

You can use arcpack. Also you can use tgce to extract from a tgc file.
