That would probably assume work-for-hire (the term I couldn't remember in my last post). If that doesn't apply in this case; then, if I'm not mistaken (which I may be), the author of the article(s) retain ownership. Then it would probably break down into a ownership and copyright pissing match...which can get ugly very fast. Very true, but that could possibly mean arguing such to ICANN, and the WTO designated body that handles URL name disputes of this nature (infringement, etc.). *DISCLAIMER* I probably should've included this in the previous post, but I'll do it here...I am not a lawyer, nor have I played one on TV. I'm only going by what I recall from a business law class I took as part of a business management course I dropped out from (finished the business law class, but hated most of the other instructors).
That was awesome Hawanja. Just awesome. I remember DC emulation back in the day when the DC was the thing. But I've moved onto better things (Xbox Emulation). ;p
It's the Gollem syndrome. Sitting in a dark lonely hole (bedroom) for years, the gamer ends up being torn apart with hatred for other mortals. Periodically this vengeful hate rips loose and some Internet peon gets burned in a vicious flame war.
Well, I am a lawyer, but legal advice without consideration in money or money's worth it just friendly legal advice, and not professional legal advice. hence, tell them to pay me and i ll spill the beans ;p hahaha
Apparently dcemulation.com was hacked a second time and the forums were wiped out Anyone know more about this?
Wow, so this is really like a concerted effort to destroy his website huh? I think we're past the point of legality here. Hard part is proving it was done by disgruntled staff members. Edit: After reading the explaination up at http://dcemulation.org/, looks like cheater really is up the creek without a paddle. The only thing I can see now is he may be able to salvage his domain name.
